Aero-Modelling Club

About Aero Modelling:

Aeromodelling is the art of designing, building and flying miniaturized aircraft using various methods.  One can build a model plane from any material like Paper, Thermocol, Balsa wood and the like. It is both a hobby and sport; the hobby aspect involves building and assembling model aircraft, and the sport aspect involves the flying of the same.

Highlights of the Aero Modelling Club

  • The programme started with a demo of flying model aircrafts to spread awareness about Aeromodelling, Aviation, Science and Technology. The dream, passion and interest of about 35 of our students propelled them to join the Aeromodelling Club this year.

  • Our goal is to make the exciting hobby of Aeromodelling accessible for pupils and anyone who is ready to enjoy this activity.

  • Our programs are aimed at introducing the young pupils to the wonderful field of Aviation which would, in due course, help them find their dream careers in the Aviation industry.

What a student receives:

  • Hands-on experience, understanding / assembling / designing of various models of planes.

  • Extensive theory (and practical) on the history of Aero Modelling, theories behind flight, laws of gravity and laws of motion.

  • Activities like Drone Flying and R/C Plane Flying.

  • Interactive multimedia and activity-based classes, delivered by experienced educators.
