Learning and evaluation go hand in hand . At Lawrence
continuous evaluation is a part and parcel of the learning process.
Grades are awarded for Chapter tests, Unit tests, Assignments, Project
Work, Seminars and Symposiums are included proportionately towards the
total annual grade. Records are kept of the students' progress throughout
the year and reports are sent to the parents at the end of each test.
'Chatty letters'-a comprehensive report by the Housemaster / Housemistress
are sent to the parents at the end of each term. Parents are welcome
to meet the Housemasters / Housemistresses during specified hours to
discuss their ward's progress.
Students
are prepared for C.B.S.E. examination at the end of their Xth and XIIth
classes. All study English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science , Computers
and a second language (Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Sanskrit and French).
After this, pupils are asked to specialise in one of the three fields:
Commerce, Humanities, or Science. Apart from these external examinations,
annual exams are held for all at the end of the academic year in March.
For continuous evaluation unit tests are held at regular intervals.
