The academic year is from April to March with two vacations of about seven weeks each. The monsoon vacation is in the months of June-July and winter vacation is during the months of December-January. The medium of instruction is English. The School is affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi and the pupils are prepared for AISSE in class 10 and for the AISSCE at the end of class 12. For the first of these, all study English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and a second language (Hindi, Tamil, and French). After this, pupils are asked to specialize in one of the three fields: Humanities, Commerce or the Sciences. A continuous and comprehensive evaluation certificate is maintained by the class teachers on each pupil of the school as per C.B.S.E. guidelines. There are four Formative Assessments throughout the year and two Summative Assessments at the end of each term. Standards of academic performance are high, yet Lawrence offers a supportive environment to the slow learners. Academic advisors, peers, tutors and faculty are always willing to help. Students receive feedback from instructors on their progress and development. The faculty pays attention to students' growth and progress. Lawrence offers its students an education that is broad and varied. For the faculty at school the diversity of the students is a teaching resource.
