The Lawrence School
The Lawrence School which was founded in 1858 today is 143 years old. The Lawrence School in the 21st Century is a school both proud of its past and conscious of the need to prepare students for a life of leadership, service and personal fulfilment in the future. The School has a sprawling campus of about 700 acres, surrounded by hills. The magnificent main building stands out.

Boarding Facilities
There are four boarding houses in each of the schools, the prep school, the boys School, girls School, and the Junior School . They work harmoniously together in the context of the School as a whole. The division of the School into smaller units, a cherished element of the public school tradition, makes possible a high level of pastoral care. All Housemasters/Housemistresses live in their Houses. For parents they are the main point of contact with the School. .

Food
The Senior School (Boys) Girls School and Prep School has spacious tastefully designed dining halls and catering staff looking after the needs of 750 students. Each kitchen is run under the guidance of a professional Steward. Delicious, balanced vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are prepared under strict hygienic conditions. Faculty members dine with students and supervise their eating habits, table manners and etiquettes. Confectionery items are prepared in the School bakery.The kitchen houses all modern gadgetry such as steam cooking furnace, and steam washing equipment.The Bursar keeps a watchful eye on diet, and feedback from the students is constantly sought in order to improve the food.

Health and Medical Care
The salubrious climate, a pollution free atmosphere, regular exercise and a balanced diet ensure a student's good health throughout the year. However, the School pays special attention to the students' well-being. The School has a full time Resident Medical Officer who is incharge of a well-equipped and modern clinic cum dispensary. He / She is assisted by qualified nursing personnel. All students are put through annual medical examination by specialists. Orthodontic treatment facility is available. o Health cards are prepared and maintained for all students. o In case of serious illness, the students are transferred to the Military Hospital at Wellington and parents informed accordingly o Immunisation programmes are strictly followed.

Sports
Sports and games form an important part of the students' lives. These have been given adequate stress and included in the School routine to promote good health, self-confidence and team spirit besides providing recreation. A wide range of excellent sports facilities including a modern swimming pool is available. The Director of Physical Education is assisted by other full-time members of staff, and many of the Masters are also accomplished sportsmen. The Deptt. of Physical Education has well-qualified full time physical education teachers to supervise and co-ordinate the various sports activities. Special coaching is provided in their respective disciplines by experts, and students are offered maximum opportunity to participate in the Inter School, District and State level Competitions.
