Education
Computer
Education begins as soon as the child joins the Lawrence School. The
School has a well equipped state-of-the-art computer centre - Senior
School section. The staff is highly qualified and spends a great deal
of time and effort to motivate the students to do their own projects
and presentations.
Counselling Programme
The
School has one of the finest counselling programmes in the country both
for 'Attitude counselling' and 'Career counselling'. This programme
is supervised by professionals but run on the ground by School staff
who receive formal ongoing training.
Communication Skills
Communication plays a major role in the modern world. All education
is futile without the development of proper communication skills. There
are quite a few methods followed at Lawrence to develop these important
skills among the students. Elocutions, Debates and Group Discussions
both within the learning centres and outside to foster verbal communication.
Essay writing, Story writing and other such competitions are held to
improve written expression. Speeches in the Assembly by the students
and active participation in dramatics plays a key role in the development
of communication skills. Various forums like the Students' Council are
available on monthly basis where the staff and the student community
participate in discussions and debates on various current issues. We
also have an English Lab equipped with audio-visual aids.
