Admission Procedure

Application Form :

The form is attached separately with the Prospectus. Parents are advised to go through the details given in the form and fill up the details legibly. This form is used for registration also.

Registration :

The prospective parent(s) or guardians should first register the name of child for the year and class to which admission is sought. Children are admitted to Lawrence in April each year. Most children are admitted between the ages of eight and nine years. Class Four is preferred as the entry point. Outside these classes, there is seldom a vacancy, though occasionally places become available in Class Eleven. Admission is based on an entrance examination, held the preceding December, all over India and abroad. Since the demand for school places is intense, priority is also given to those who register their children earliest. All children, except those of the School staff, are expected to stay in the Boarding Houses. The application form duly filled together with the required Registration Fee should be sent to the Headmaster as early as possible. In the case of admission of Standard XI, a copy of the Pre-Board Examination Marks Sheet/ current year and previous year progress cards should also be attached. Registration however does not guarantee admission.

The Registration Fee is neither refundable nor transferable.

Entrance Test and Interview :

Students are required to write an entrance examination prior to admission. Parents will be informed about the date and place of entrance examination well in time, provided the name of the child has been registered with the School. Admission will be based strictly on the performance of the student in the above examination.

The entrance examination for Class IV will be of two hours duration, which will comprise a composite test paper covering English, Mathematics, Science and General Aptitude of the appropriate level. Prior to admission, the School Management may interview the child along with parent(s).

Newly admitted children will be permitted to join only on completion of admission formalities, which include :

· Full payment of fees as applicable.

· Receipt of Agreement duly signed by the parent(s).

· Submission of Transfer Certificate.

· Previous School Result Sheet/ Record and Transcript/ Board Examination Result.

· Conduct Certificate

· Health Certificate.

· 3 copies of passport size photographs.

· Other attached documents with Application Form duly filled and signed.

· Date of birth certificate.
